Gameweek 17 – Player Analyser for Short / Mid / Long Term Picks

Gameweek 17 – Player Analyser for Short / Mid / Long Term Picks

In this article, I will be analysing players I feel are great selections for the upcoming Gameweeks.

I will be picking a handful of players in which I feel are great assets to have for either a short, mid or long term basis. The way this works is as follows:

  • 🔴  Short Term Picks (1-2 matches)
  • 🟠  Mid Term Picks (3-4 matches)
  • 🟢  Long Term Picks (5 matches +)

🔴 Ollie Watkins

Villa is a stronger team under Steven Gerrard and in terms of a short term; he certainly fits the bill. The fixtures have been tough but when facing NOR and BUR in the next two, I see potential returns.

In the last 5 Gameweeks Watkins averages 4.4 points.

🟠 Conor Gallagher

I noticed Gallagher was playing further forward than he has done in recent games and against Everton, he returned with two goals in GW16.

Crystal Palace has a great run of upcoming fixtures, I would certainly consider this player in your team, especially for only 6.1m.

🟠 Emmanuel Dennis

Dennis has only blanked once in the last 5 GW’s and for only 5.8m, he’s an absolute bargain.

To add appeal, he’s playing more central whereas King is playing as a winger. He averages at 8.8 points in his last 5 GW’s, this is actually more than Ronaldo (5.0).

🟢 Cristiano Ronaldo

I would honestly fear not owning Ronaldo. I feel he is currently playing below everyone’s expectations but we all know what the Portuguese player is capable of.

He’s a great long-term pick and could well get some hauls, especially with Man Utd’s upcoming fixtures.

🟢 Bernardo Silva

Bernardo just seems to be the new Gündogan of last season.

In the last 3 matches, he has returned with 3 goals, 1 assist, and 31 points. He averages 8.2 points per game for the last 6 GW’s, scoring 5 goals, which makes him the highest scorer in the league in this period.

🟢 Jarrod Bowen

Bowen has scored 3 goals and 7 assists and this season and has been very consistent. Against Chelsea, he scored a goal and an assist and could have done more.

He has great fixtures and has recorded 10 shots inside the box in the last 6 GW’s, that’s more than any WHU player!
