Rey – Stopping the streak of red arrows

Rey – Stopping the streak of red arrows

Since the last time I wrote a preview article, it has been a litany of red arrows which have dropped my rank significantly.

Despite the streak of red arrows, I am satisfied with my current position at this point of the season and still feel well set-up to restart the climb up the ranks.

As a fan of patience quotes (which I certainly feel is prevalent in FPL), this is one I am quite fond of;

“Learning patience can be a difficult experience, but once conquered, you will find life is easier.” – Catherine Pulsifer

GW15 Review

With yet another red arrow, I really wanted to make serious changes with my 2 x free transfers in preparation for GW16.

For a -4, I wanted to attack the upcoming fixtures during the busy festive period. Here are some thoughts;

  • Wanted to shift out the extremely disappointing Kane
  • Ronaldo’s fixtures are enticing
  • Bernardo has been excellent on the eye-test and I am confident he can sustain the returns
  • Interested in eventually transferring in Bowen – can fund this move by GW18

Squad RAG Status

Each week, I will give a RAG (Red, Amber, Green) rating on the safety of the assets in my squad.

🟢  Green – Performing well / certain keep

🟠  Orange – Wait and See

🔴  Red – Imminent departure

🟠  I have been satisfied with Ramsdale’s performances, however I am keeping an eye on De Gea as MUN have favourable fixtures and look more enticing under Rangnick.

🟢  Cheap enabling GK

🟢  Unless TAA is unavailable for any considerable amount of time, he shall stay all season

🟢  Having a cheap playing defender is always a blessing for FPL managers. Especially one that is as attacking as Tino

🟢  He seems to have avoided “Pep Roulette” for the time being as the Portuguese has started every game so far this season – fantastic asset

🟢  Happy to have brought in James for the upcoming fixtures

🟢  A cheap starting enabler which allows me to strengthen in different areas

🟢  The Portuguese statistics have been fantastic so far this season

From analysing Bernardo’s recent performance vs Everton, he was constantly making offensive runs off the ball and has been continuing this on a consistent basis this season.

Checkout my Bernardo thread (here)

🟢  ESR is proving to be excellent value for money, the Englishmen is one of the key creative assets in the Arsenal team

🟢  Season Keeper, that is all – his stats this season are incredible

🟢  Explosive and a certain long-term option with the AFCON starting in January

Statistics from the last 4 games suggest Jota is performing as expected which is a great sign for FPL managers that the Portuguese will continue his form.

🟠  Will likely be makeweight to bring in Bowen in the coming GW’s

🟢  Bench Fodder

🟢  I intend to play the Jamaican till he “breaks” – I have stuck with the striker for the favourable FDR swing

GW16 Preview

With 0.0m in the bank, this is how the team is shaping up for GW16.

Of course, this is subject to change but for updates, check out my Twitter (rey_qur ) for my finalised team.
