Rey’s GW11 Preview

GW10 Review

It was a rough week for yours truly.

Quite on cue as it was Halloween weekend and here were the “ghoulish” results of my choices;

  • Benched Ramsdale and played Foster
  • Removed Jimenez as part of a -4 to bring in Foden
  • The above choices lost me a total of 19 points which would have taken me into the 100k club

However, due to the above actions I finished on a lowly 45 points. Fortunately, both Livramento and ESR came off the bench, yet I have dropped from 168.6k to 234.1k.

Squad RAG Status

Each week, I will give a RAG (Red, Amber, Green) rating on the safety of the assets in my squad.

🟢  Green – Performing well / certain keep

🟠  Orange – Wait and See

🔴  Red – Imminent departure

Ramdale

I see Ramsdale as one of the best 4.5m GK in this seasons game. He has performed well and is usually asked to make several saves per game behind an average Arsenal defence. 🟢

Foster

The Watford man recently started the last two games which is fantastic for a 4.0m GK. I see him more as an enabler but, when Arsenal play more difficult teams, I may just start Foster in the hope that he plays 🟢

Alexander-Arnold

Unless TAA is unavailable for any considerable amount of time, he shall stay all season 🟢

Livramento

Having a cheap playing defender is always a blessing for FPL managers. Especially one that is as attacking as Tino, and his recent attacking returns have made a him a season keeper 🟢

Cancelo

He seems to have avoided “Pep Roulette” for the time being as the Portuguese has started every game so far this season – fantastic asset 🟢

Azpilicueta

Has not appeared in the last 2 x apps and is an expensive asset to own – very close to being on the “red” list 🟠

Dias

With Man City not being as reliable with clean sheets, I am tempted to remove in the coming GW’s to fund an additional striker 🟠

Raphinha

The game vs Norwich was key in deciding whether to keep the Brazilian. However, with his performance and fitness looking optimal, Raphinha will stay in my team for the foreseeable future 🟢

Smith-Rowe

ESR is proving to be excellent value for money, the Englishmen is one of the key creative assets in the Arsenal team  🟢

Salah

Season Keeper, that is all – his stats this season are incredible 🟢

Foden

Despite his blank vs Crystal Palace, I plan to keep Foden for the next 5-6 fixtures and expect returns 🟢

Mbuemo

This is a classic example of “following the herd” with the Brentford midfielder – close to removing the player in the next 2-3 GW’s 🟠

Davis

Bench Fodder 🟢

Vardy

Possibly last game and use the funds to potentially bring in a Spurs premium asset 🟠

Antonio

I intend to play the Jamaican till he “breaks” – an incredible asset when fit and firing 🟢

GW11 Preview

With 0.6m in the bank, I am likely to roll this Gameweek. Thus, I will have 2 x FT to play with during the International Break.

Current thoughts:

  • Who to bench – Livramento has been excellent and could come into the team – potentially for Antonio
  • If I weren’t to roll, would bring in Toney for Antonio
  • With Conte becoming the new Spurs manager, I will keep a keen eye on Son & Kane

As always, I will wait until after the pressers on who is unavailable for their respective games before considering any transfers.

Of course, this is subject to change but for updates, check out my Twitter rey_qur for my finalised team.

Good Luck with this GW and please leave your comments below.
